Mr. Md. Waliul Islam Sojib aka Advocate Wali, a Dhaka based Supreme Court lawyer and the author of this blog was born in 1993 into an ordinary Muslim family of Feni, a district of Bangladesh under Chittagong Division. His father is an expatriate and mother is a homemaker. He has a younger sibling brother. He is married to Razia Sultana, a Chittagong University graduate. He passed his childhood in Dammam, Saudi Arabia along with his family till 2007 and during the tenure he intermittently came home and carried on his early life education. He had his schooling from Shaheen Academy School & College, Feni, a locally well-reputed institution and completed HSC from Cambrian College, Dhaka both in Business Studies. Thereafter, he was admitted into the famed University of London wherefrom he studied Diploma in Law and thereafter successfully garnered a bachelor’s degree in law i.e., LL.B. (Hons.). He then obtained Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Eastern University, Dhaka, a well known university located in Dhaka city. Now he, being an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, is a full-time practitioner and works at a leading law firm as a Senior Associate. He is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, UK. He is also vibrant in social causes. He is the co-founder of Jagoruk Society, Feni, a charitable organisation working for the betterment of people of the soil he hails from. He has an extensive background in working with various types of association, political and social. He has an insatiable thirst for Islamic knowledge and so apart from providing legal services he endeavors to devote his time to accumulating Islamic knowledge, according them to practice and disseminating the same among the people in general.
